graduationI cannot believe that a whole year has whizzed past me and am actually done (yes I said “done”!) with my financial reporting for the year. And boy what a year it has been! I find it interesting and funny that I will not be the new kid on the block anymore, especially with of all the new accounts coming on board. So, I figured why not write about something I know extremely well: being the new kid on the block!

The one thing I learned this year was that Whitsons is extremely good at hiring great people, without whom my first year would not have been as exciting. My first introduction to the Whitsons team was a whirlwind affair at the annual managers meeting, which left my head spinning with excitement and nerves. I was not sure I could keep up with all the new things I had to learn, but was certainly happy to be on the right side of innovation. But as the days turned into weeks, which turned into months and now a whole year, I can confidently say, it was not so bad after all! So all you new kids on the block out there: don’t worry, we’ve got your back!

Looking forward to next year, and before that, as Kelly Friend said , off to some well-deserved R&R!
